どのように授業を進めているかの実践例です

 

レッスン内容

（例１）日常の話題（音楽、家族、学校、趣味、政治、国、買い物・・・）についての質問に、T(自分に当てはまる）かF（当てはまらない）で答え、会話を発展させていきます。知らない単語が出てきたら、意味を英語で例を挙げたり、言い換えたり時には図解したりして、英語を英語で説明していきます。会話が面白く盛り上がるので、英語だけで会話をしながら平気で30, 40分過ぎていきます。

（例２）英会話の教科書を使って、挨拶表現から、相づち、聴き返し方など、具体的に学んでいきます。

 

 

どんな風に英語を英語で学ぶかの実例です↓

（テーマ1）I wish I had been born in another country. Agree or Disagree?

Do you agree or disagree?

Agree?（agreeの意味が分からないのでagree?と繰り返す。大事なコミュニケーションスキルです）

“Agree” means “Yes, I think so”. “Disagree” means “No, I don’t think so.”

Okay. Ah, “I wish”?

“I wish” means “I hope” (祈るジェスチャー付き）. Did you want to be born in another country?

Agree.

Ok, so you wanted to be born in another country. What country?

Ah, America.

I see. America. United States. Good. Why?

Why? Hmmmmm.

Yes, why.   ……..For example, “Because I want to…..” “Because I like….”…

Because I can speak English.

Ah I see. Because you would be able to speak English. Good answer.

（テーマ2)

One of the biggest problems in my country is illegal drugs. Agree or Disagree?

Do you know “drugs”?　Like cocain?

Yes. 麻薬

Right. Do you know what “illegal” means?

Mmmmm, no.

Ok. (illegal ↔︎legalとホワイトボードに書く。）legal means “under the law”. (lawと書く）and “Law” is rules of the country.(ruleと書く) You know “rule”? You have school rules. For example, you have to wear the uniform, your hair has to be black, you can’t pierce your ears, you have to tie your hair…. you have a lot of rules. What’s rules?

Ah rule.

Yes, so “law” is “a rule of the country”. “legal” is good because it follows the law. illegal is not good because it is out of laws.

Tobacco?

Good example. Tobacco is actually legal. Tobacco is okay after you become 20, right? It’s legal. What does illegal means in Japanese?

違法？

That’s right. Great. So do you think illegal drugs is the biggest problem?

Mmmm, I don’t think so.

Ok. Then what do you think the biggest problem is?

Ah.. senior people are too many.

Oh good point! You think too many senior citizen is the biggest problem.

大量の英単語が　発音　スペル　意味　文脈　と共に頭にインプットされていきます。言いたいことに対する語彙サイズと英語表現の持ち札がまだ少なくても、たくさん聞いていく中で、表現を覚えていき言葉がどんどん出てくるようになります。

言語習得の順

インプット（読む聞く）　→　アウトプット（書く話す）
